6-8 months contract Financial Accountant opportunity (with the potential for a permanent appointment) with a Northeast Merseyside based UK Market Leader operating in the Leisure/Retail sector. In a hybrid role - split 2 days office / 3 days home – you will report to the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Group Year End accounting (7 companies)
  • First point of contact for audit related information requests
  • Preparation of consolidated Group fixed asset reports
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly capital expenditure reporting
  • Statutory returns
  • National Statistics

Qualifications

Our client is ideally looking for someone who is ACA or ACCA qualified (practice trained) but will also consider non-qualified and CIMA finance professionals who have the financial/technical accounting experience across the areas outlined above.

A salary of £50-60k (possibly some flexibility) is complemented with benefits including 8% Pension, 25 days holiday, Hybrid working (2 days Office : 3 days at Home). On-site parking available. Applicants must have full and indefinite eligibility to work in the UK (through being a UK citizen or having gained ILR) and should live within a sensible commute of Liverpool.
