Excellent Stock Controller opportunity with a £50m t/o UK subsidiary of a market leading €800m European Group. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, your remit will be to manage and control stock movements, ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained to support business operations while minimising shortages and overstock.
Responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring stock levels and liaising with suppliers to manage out-of-stock (OOS) risks and prevent overstock situations.
- Maintaining accurate inventory levels for all group and non-group purchases.
- Planning and managing buying schedules to ensure continuous stock availability.
- Coordinating with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Supporting the sales team with enquiries, costings, customer responses, and sample requests.
- Setting up new product codes and maintaining product data.
- Maintaining customer specification and technical files (internal and external).
- Reviewing and authorising supplier invoices.
- Production of daily and periodic stock reports.
- Conducting regular stock takes and reconciliations.
- Raising and managing import documentation using forwarder portals.
Applicants should have previous experience in a stock control or supply chain role and a good understanding of stock management systems (e.g., ERP/JDE (JD Edwards) or similar) and knowledge of supply chain processes (UK/European/global) and import/export documentation requirements. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills are essential.
A salary of £40k (depending on experience/qualification level) is complemented with benefits including Hybrid working (1-day WFH per week once settled in the role), 5% Pension, Health Insurance and onsite parking. 0900 – 1700 Monday to Thursday with a 1530 finish on Friday.
