Exceptional, career defining opportunity for an actively studying, Part Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CIPFA professional to join a highly regarded and award‑winning business based in Preston. Joining a friendly and collaborative Finance Business Partner and Management Accounting team - and reporting to a very impressive Commercial Financial Controller - your remit will be a 60:40 split between Commercial Analysis and Management Accounts support.
Responsibilities:
- Lead for all income related aspects of Financial Planning and Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting.
- Developing modern and effective MS Excel based forecasting models (Pivot tables, xlookups, SUMIFS, Dynamic Arrays).
- Working with large MS Excel data set volumes (over 1m formula and 3m data points).
- Providing insight and analysis into variances to support decision making.
- "What if" scenario modelling.
- Assisting with month end and monthly management accounts preparation.
To meet our clients criteria, you will be actively working towards CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CIPFA and will be committed to achieving full qualification (lapsed or stopped studier will not be considered). You will also ideally hold an accounting & finance (or related degree) - although this is not essential. Prior experience in both financial analysis/reporting and management accounting is key as is having the gravitas, personality and communication skills required to forge strong business relationships with work colleagues at all levels to board level.
