If you’re the kind of person who thrives on variety, pace and responsibility - and you happen to love sport - this is one of those rare roles that doesn’t come around often. We’re partnering with a fast-growing, aspirational wealth management firm whose clients are professional footballers competing at the very highest level. Their Sport Division MD needs a right-hand person: someone sharp, organised, calm under pressure and capable of operating at a very high standard in an ultra-dynamic environment.
This isn’t a desk-bound paraplanner role. You’ll be in the room - traveling across the UK with the MD, attending meetings at Premier League training grounds, players’ homes and club facilities. You’ll prepare reports, field technical queries, manage client relationships, and often be the person the MD turns to in the moment. Flexibility is key: player schedules move fast, and sometimes things need doing now.
If you can balance professionalism with personality, detail with adaptability, and you don’t get starstruck, you’ll thrive here.
What you’ll be doing- Acting as main point of contact for clients; managing day-to-day relationships and providing updates
- Attending client meetings with the MD and producing accurate, high-quality minutes
- Conducting research, analysis and cashflow modelling, recommending products and solutions
- Writing recommendation reports to a high standard
- Ensuring timely implementation of all advice and actions
- Staying on top of industry, compliance and Consumer Duty expectations
- Supporting the MD strategically so they can focus on deepening and growing the client base
- A paraplanner or Client Relationship Manager looking for true progression and exposure
- Someone with financial planning experience (Diploma qualified essential)
- Strong with systems - ideally Voyant, cashflow software, FE Analytics, Selectapension
- Unflappable, switched-on, proactive - with the judgement to handle high-profile clients
- A natural relationship-builder who works well as part of a tight, high-performance team
- Someone who loves sport - especially football - and enjoys a role that isn’t 9-to-5
- You’ll be in the thick of it: travelling, meeting clients, and representing the business at the highest levels
- Flexibility in your working hours - it’s a give-and-take environment
- Part of a genuinely meritocratic, growing business with real progression routes
- A chance to build rare experience within elite sports wealth management
If you’ve got the professional toolkit and the adaptability to support a top-tier MD in a fast-moving sport environment, we’d love to speak with you. Apply confidentially or message me directly for more details.
