We’re proud to be exclusively supporting a well-established, PE-backed SME in the manufacturing and stock-led sector with the appointment of an Interim Financial Controller on a 12-month basis. This is a broad, hands-on leadership role within a £25m turnover business operating across both UK manufacturing and international supply chain operations. Reporting into an experienced MD and wider Group, the successful individual will play a key role in providing stability, continuity and commercial support during a period of transition and operational evolution.
Key areas of focus will include:
- Leading and supporting a small finance team
- Ownership of monthly management accounts and MI
- Ensuring robust financial controls and reporting processes
- Supporting reporting requirements into a PE-backed Group structure
- Business partnering with operational leadership
- Assisting with ERP integration and systems/process improvement
- Supporting ongoing change and restructuring initiatives where required
- Maintaining a pragmatic, sleeves-rolled-up approach within a fast-paced SME environment
The ideal candidate will likely be:
- A CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified and experienced FC / senior finance leader with strong SME exposure
- Comfortable operating in a manufacturing, distribution, stock or import-led environment
- Commercially minded but operationally hands-on
