Palatine Talent is excited to exclusively represent a Financial Services organisation, currently enjoying rapid growth. Reporting directly into an impressive and personable CFO, this is a newly defined Commercial Financial Controller position. The successful Commercial Financial Controller will work closely with the CFO, senior leadership team and external stakeholders, with an emphasis on analysing the organisation’s financial, operational and regulatory positions. Suggesting opportunities for improvements to processes and procedures across the Group, recommending strategic changes to improve profitability and efficiency.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing & maintaining financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making
- Support with the preparation of the Management accounts pack including Balance Sheet, P&L reconciliations and review
- Collate, analyse and maintain accurate and timely financial performance reports and forecasts
- Identify, monitor and report on financial risks and assist the CFO in implementing strategies to mitigate those risks
- Working with the Tech/IT to build a data warehouse providing Operational, Management and Strategic Information
- Assist with the external audit process
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
- Other ad hoc related projects & tasks in a hands-on finance team.

Applicants will be qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA or if relevant experience will consider QBE, with financial analysis/reporting experience. You will have a broad commercial acumen and the gravitas and personality to business partner with senior management, comfortable with proposing, justifying, initiating and implementing change. You will have excellent reporting and analytical skills; advanced knowledge of MS Excel and SQL experience would also be advantageous.
