Drawing upon your extensive experience, you will act as 'subject matter expert’ for all aspects of financial reporting and engage tax specialists when it is appropriate to do so.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation of statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Managing the corporation tax process, working closely with external advisors to meet reporting deadlines.
- Overseeing VAT submissions and acting as the first point of contact for tax-related queries.
- Supporting a restructure of financial operations and streamlining processes across multiple entities.
- Supporting the business in developing accounting and tax positions for new market initiatives and established business lines.
- Assessment of financial control risks in the business, mapping of existing business processes and making recommendations on both tactical and strategic level for improvements.
- Managing and mentoring 2 direct reports, fostering professional development.
We’re looking for a proactive and commercially astute finance professional who can thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will have:
- Led on statutory reporting, IFRS compliance, and external audit management.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified, with a strong technical accounting and audit background.
- Confidence in communicating with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Enthusiasm; be a team player who is engaged, accountable, and proactive in sharing best practices.
