We primarily operate as a travel company, with golf being just one aspect of our offerings.

Driven by a Customer First, Always mindset, this role takes full strategic and operational ownership of the events, tournaments, golf days, and race meetings across Your Golf Travel and its sister brands (Premier Golf, Walker Sports, Racing Breaks, and the Albatross Club).

By combining customer empathy with sharp market insight, you will push boundaries to deliver unparalleled sporting experiences for clients, while expertly managing both external showcases – like ambassador and founders' days – and internal company conferences.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of all strategic, budgetary and operational commercial objectives on all Tournaments and Events including internal events.
  • Continually review our contractual commitments versus sales to ensure we are progressing on target.
  • Review and develop all aspects of event delivery to ensure maximum customer service and that the standards and operational procedures are maintained and enhanced in line with best practice.
  • Take a leading role in onboarding and enhancing our Tournament Experiences and Events for both Your Golf Travel, Premier Golf and Racing Breaks.
  • Oversee the guest management programmes for tournaments such as The Masters, The Open, Solheim Cup, Ryder Cup, Grand National, Cheltenham, Ascot plus all other events attended by Your Golf Travel and Racing Breaks customers, including dinners, golf days and hosted events/tours; deliver an enhanced differentiated guest experience and ensure multi‑brand company exposure at all events.
  • Regularly attend Events in the UK and Overseas, representing the Business to the highest level.
  • Work closely with the CCO and finance on Tournament and event departmental budgets and reconciliation upon completion of events to finalise profitability.
  • Train, review, appraise and motivate team members at all levels and encourage continual development across the events and partnerships department.
  • Co‑ordinate all marketing plans and activity with the wider marketing and sales teams relating to tournaments & events.
  • Support the wider business and other departments by delivering internal and external events management – e. g.

Town Hall Meetings & Staff wide events, Select events, Founders Series, Albatross club events.

  • Manage costs/spend in line with agreed budgets.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree or professional qualification.
  • Track record in events management and delivery, Sports preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent G‑Suite skills.
  • Excellent team working skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Flawless attention to detail, methodical approach.
  • Potential to bring an extensive industry relevant base of contacts.
  • Flexibility for regular travel, to attend and represent the Business at UK & Overseas Events.
  • Ability to train and develop existing team, recruit and train new members and attain best practice.
  • Strong negotiation skills, decisive and authoritative. Excellent financial management knowledge including reconciliation, maximisation of profit margins and audit requirements.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills coupled with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
