Aucerna is the leading global provider of solutions for integrated planning in upstream oil and gas. Our software connects all E&P data and workflows from strategy to execution through innovative technology, expert consulting and first-rate customer service. Aucerna was formed in 2018 through the merger of 3esi-Enersight and Palantir Solutions, combining the expertise of the oil and gas industry’s top two software solution providers to form the new market leader. We are a global team with offices in Canada, the UK, US, Spain, Australia, the Middle-East, Singapore and India. Aucerna provides a work environment that is entrepreneurial, fast-paced and varied. Our employees are commercially minded self-starters, comfortable working both independently and collaborating with colleagues and clients. Everyone at Aucerna takes pride in delivering solutions that exceed client expectations and developing new ideas to enhance our services and products.
Are you an experienced QA with a strong record of success, looking for a fresh challenge? Are you a commercially minded ‘people person’, who is able to lead and inspire a team? If so, we could have the opportunity for you. This role requires a strong QA who can handle technical challenges in a fast paced environment. You will be able to analyse complex business scenarios, whilst having the demonstrable leadership skills to continually train and mentor Junior and Intermediate QAs.
We require a strong communicator who can form solid working relationships with our Global team; cooperating with QAs, Developers and BAs globally. Ideally, you will have strong skills and a proven track record in black box testing, white box testing and regression testing.
Your technical day to day responsibilities will include:
- End to end testing of the Aucerna application suite (both products on the market and in R&D), from planning to post deployment.
- Designing, implementing, testing, deploying and maintaining testing suites to provide high code coverage.
- Reviewing and challenging functional specifications for specificity and testability, and contributing to the overall development of the automation test suite using CodedUI.
- Developing and owning test artefacts (including test plans and test scripts), both functional and non-functional.
- Taking ownership of functional areas to ensure that appropriate business analysis and development activities are in place e.g. code reviews, appropriate unit test coverage, user story documentation.
- Executing functional, regression, non-functional (performance, latency, resilience, etc.) tests and managing defects.
- Defining and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
- Assessing automation readiness, defining coverage and providing specifications for automated tests.
Our new Lead QA will enjoy a work environment that is entrepreneurial and varied, with colleagues who are pro-active self-starters, comfortable working either independently or as part of a team. This is also an opportunity to build your knowledge of international fiscal regimes and the petroleum industry.
Qualifications:
