Site Description: Militex Coatings is an industrial manufacturing facility specializing in protective coatings. The site includes production areas, equipment storage, and operational spaces requiring perimeter patrols and access control. Security personnel help maintain a safe working environment, prevent unauthorized access, and support loss prevention initiatives.

Position: Temporary Part Time Security Guard

Site Address: 1881 Huron Street, London, ON N5V 3A5

Hours: Friday and Saturday (23:00 - 07:00 hours)

Payrate: $22.08/hr

Job Duties:

  • Responding to and reporting all incidents of criminal activity, suspicious activity, and hazardous situations
  • Unlocking and locking doors and offices
  • Providing access control
  • Providing a uniform security presence within various locations and customer service areas
  • Monitor CCTV systems and responding as required
  • Ensuring the buildings are secured after hours
  • Completing directed patrols of all required areas
  • Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required
  • Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required
  • Ability to write detailed incident reports for all emergencies and day to day activities
  • Logging in/out of two-way Radio
  • Report any unsafe working conditions in any/all departments
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Prerequisites:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB-approved)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to work alone or in a team
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred
  • This position requires strong physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Candidates without these certifications may complete Paladin’s unpaid UOF/MOAB program before onboarding
  • Paladin covers costs with a 6-month commitment to the role
