We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking General Practitioner (GP) to join our growing and supportive team for 4-6 sessions a week. Salary commensurate with skills and experience, around Β£10,800 to Β£11,200 per session.
Main duties of the job:
- Routine GP work for 4-6 sessions per week in a friendly practice with strong clerical support staff and a stable team of Partners and Salaried GPs.
About us:
- GP practice with 2 Partners and 2 Salaried GPs.
- The Practice has a Nurse, 2 HCAs and a Pharmacist.
- We are further supported by PCN Pharmacists, Social Prescribing Link Workers and Health & Wellbeing Coaches.
Job responsibilities:
- Address medical concerns presented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals as necessary.
- Conduct patient consultations in person, via telephone, or online.
- Prescribe medications and manage prescription requests.
- Participate in shared on-call duties according to a rota.
- Perform home visits when clinically indicated.
- Assist in achieving QOF and other local enhanced service targets.
- Handle clinical administrative tasks as part of a shared rota, including the completion of medical reports.
- Support the triage appointment system and make informed decisions regarding patient care.
- Make necessary referrals to other healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with the administrative team and engage in staff and clinical meetings.
Working Conditions:
- SystmOne Practice.
- Employment under a BMA contract.
- 6 weeks of annual leave and 1 week of study leave pro rata.
- Minimal script duties due to our in-house pharmacy team.
- Minimal letter processing due to our in-house workflow systems.
- Limited home visits required.
