Job Description
As Targeted Intervention Officer you will:
- Deliver interventions, including one-to-one mentoring and group support, for referred participants in partner schools and wider community projects
- Work directly on projects that provide early intervention for young people at risk of social and academic exclusion, criminal exploitation and other risk-based concerns
- Work with local school and community partners to identify and respond to the needs of young people in the community
- Support 'Youth Hub' provision by delivering engaging after-school activities and safe spaces for young people
- Support 'Premier League Kicks' sessions by providing on-site one-to-one mentoring
- Support projects across the wider Foundation as required
Person Specification
As a successful candidate you will:
- Have a passion for supporting and developing young people in the local community
- Have experience in youth work or mentoring
- Have a qualification in youth work or mentoring or equivalent
- Can identify needs as they arise and adapt delivery
- Have strong working knowledge of safeguarding, with up-to-date training in associated concerns
