Job Description

As Football Education Coach you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging football sessions for secondary‑aged students across partner schools
  • Build positive relationships through mentoring, pastoral support and small-group interventions
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, age‑appropriate football sessions across after-school clubs, Player Development Centres and holiday soccer schools
  • Support young people’s confidence, behaviour and personal development through sport
  • Record and report programme data to demonstrate impact and outcomes effectively
  • Ensure the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all participants, following safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
  • Represent Palace for Life Foundation professionally and support wider team initiatives where needed

Person Specification

As successful candidate you will:

  • Have a passion for using sport to inspire, support and positively impact young people
  • Have experience in working within secondary school environments
  • Have experience in mentoring, behaviour support or delivering small‑group interventions with young people
  • Have experience coaching football, ideally within schools, grassroots or player development environments
  • Hold a UEFA B Football Coaching qualification or equivalent (or working towards), alongside FA Emergency First Aid and FA Safeguarding Children qualifications
  • Have the ability to build positive relationships with students, school staff and wider stakeholders
  • Have the ability to work proactively, flexibly and independently across multiple school settings
  • Have the ability to always represent Palace for Life Foundation professionally and positively
  • Be available for evening delivery where required
