The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with a passion for helping people and building strong local partnerships. Previous experience in energy efficiency or community support is desirable, though full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver home energy support visits to vulnerable residents, including low-income households, older people, disabled residents, and families with young children.
  • Provide practical advice on reducing energy use and improving energy efficiency in the home.
  • Install simple energy-saving measures such as LED light bulbs, draught excluders, and reflective radiator panels.
  • Support residents with basic money management advice and signpost to relevant support services where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records, case notes, and project data using internal systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, housing providers, health organisations, and community groups to generate referrals.
  • Deliver informal energy awareness sessions to community groups and partner organisations.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Is organised and able to manage their own workload with minimal supervision.
  • Enjoys working within local communities and supporting vulnerable people.
  • Can build effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders.

A Level 3 qualification in an energy-related subject would be advantageous; however, training will be provided for the right candidate.
