Join our team as a Team Leader and take charge of overseeing a dedicated team of 2-3 individuals. In this role, you will actively participate in unloading palletised incoming waste before it undergoes inspection by our Chemist. Your responsibilities will include ensuring efficient segregation and storage of the waste in designated bays. Key Responsibilities: – Lead a team of 2-3 members, guiding them towards achieving set KPIs. – Organize team activities effectively to meet business requirements, adjusting strategies as needed. – Handle administrative tasks, recording, checks, and reporting within the team. – Coordinate with other on-site teams to allocate resources efficiently and facilitate material movement. – Conduct pre-use FLT inspections and report any faults to Management. – Perform PUWER safety checks on equipment and tools used. – Operate a counterbalance FLT following the company\’s P.A.S.S policy. – Weigh incoming loads on the site weighbridge before unloading. – Control vehicle movements on site if trained as a banksman. – Ensure proper unloading and inspection of waste for compliance. – Maximize storage capacity in bays by repalletising materials. – Maintain cleanliness through housekeeping activities and drum crushing. – Load outgoing vehicles safely. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive Health and Safety culture by promptly reporting near misses and addressing any safety concerns. Essential Qualifications & Experience: – Valid FLT counterbalance license. – Prior experience (preferred but not mandatory). – Willingness to work in outdoor settings within a hazardous chemical environment, adopting a hands-on approach.
