We are seeking a skilled Vacuum Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing faults, performing reactive maintenance, and utilising a range of engineering equipment, including welding, grinding, milling, and more. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of vacuum systems and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in vacuum systems and associated equipment.
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Utilise a variety of engineering tools, including welders, grinders, milling machines, and other workshop equipment.
- Carry out repairs, modifications, and installations on vacuum-related machinery.
- Work with mechanical and electrical components to ensure system functionality.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and fault findings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in vacuum engineering, mechanical maintenance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in fault-finding and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with welding, grinding, milling, and general fabrication.
