Our client is a leading waste recycling, industrial cleaning company that deliver total waste management solutions and environmental services to customers nationwide. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper handling and processing of both Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste. Your responsibilities will include inspecting incoming waste, completing safety checks, and ensuring compliance with regulations and site procedures. Your key responsibilities will include verifying and organising paperwork for incoming waste shipments. Perform safety checks on received waste, including sampling for laboratory analysis. Ensure compliance with regulations, specifically BAT requirements in Sector Guidance Note 5.06. Record waste acceptance and non-conformances. Maintain proper storage and labelling of waste in accordance with Sector Guidance and Permits. Assist in processing waste, such as bulking, sorting, and repacking and provide technical support to team members and contribute to overall safety and health goals. To qualify, you will possess HNC or Degree in Chemistry or a related field, possess a FLT licence, experience in the hazardous waste Industry and knowledge of hazardous waste regulations, experience to working to HSG51 – The Storage of Flammable Liquids in Containers, HSG 71 Chemical Warehousing: The Storage of Packaged Dangerous Substances.
