We are seeking an experienced and driven Health & Safety Manager to lead and strengthen safety culture across global project logistics and freight forwarding operations. Our client supports major international projects across the energy, mining, power and infrastructure sectors, delivering complex cargo movements through ports and project sites worldwide. This is a key leadership role for a safety professional with strong experience in heavy logistics, lifting operations and high-risk environments.
The Role
You will take ownership of the global HSE strategy, embedding a proactive and practical safety culture across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of global HSE strategy
- Promote a strong safety culture across offices, logistics hubs and project sites
- Act as the central point of HSE expertise
- Provide guidance on heavy lift and abnormal cargo operations
- Strengthen subcontractor HSE management and engagement
- Work closely with engineering teams on major projects
Operational & Project Support
- Support global tenders with HSE documentation
- Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans
- Oversee subcontractor management and onboarding
- Support heavy lift / OOG load-outs and documentation review
- Monitor high-volume transport activities
- Oversee warehousing and laydown operations
Governance & Compliance
- Lead and support ISO audits
- Manage HSE reporting and risk registers
- Conduct incident investigations and implement lessons learned
- Drive near-miss reporting and HSE awareness
- Monitor travel risks to high-risk regions
- Maintain high HSE standards across all environments

Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience within logistics, ports, heavy transport or project environments
- Strong knowledge of lifting operations and heavy cargo handling
- Understanding of LOLER regulations
- Experience within international projects
- Familiar with major energy / mining client standards
- Lead Auditor qualification (desirable)
