CNC Press Brake Operator – Teesside


We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join our client's manufacturing team in Teesside.


Position Details



  • Full-time, permanent position

  • Shift work

  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over for health and safety reasons


Key Responsibilities



  • Safely operate CNC press brake and associated metal-forming machinery.

  • Set and operate machinery to produce components to drawing specifications.

  • Calculate and configure bend allowances for stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications.

  • Load and unload materials and components safely and efficiently.

  • Create, adjust and modify multi-fold CNC programmes.

  • Select the correct punches, dies and tooling for each job.

  • Use precision measuring equipment to check dimensions and ensure accuracy.

  • Maintain high standards of quality, productivity and health and safety.

  • Identify issues and contribute to continuous improvement within the production process.


Skills & Experience



  • Previous experience within engineering, manufacturing or metal fabrication.

  • Previous CNC press brake experience preferred.

  • Good understanding of CNC machine operation.

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.

  • Reliable, punctual and proactive approach to work.

  • Takes responsibility for the quality and accuracy of work produced.
