Fab Shop Platers – Teesside
We are currently recruiting experienced Fab Shop Platers for an established engineering and fabrication business in Teesside.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble structural steelwork and fabricated components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
- Mark out, cut, fit and prepare steel components for welding.
- Work closely with welders and other fabrication trades.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and dimensional standards.
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fab Shop Plater.
- Strong ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Experience with structural steel fabrication.
- Competent with fabrication tools and equipment.
- Good understanding of welding and fabrication processes.
- Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
- Relevant qualifications or trade certification preferred
