We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join an established company specialising in the manufacture and fabrication of vehicle bodies in Stockton.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced H&S professional to take responsibility for maintaining and developing health & safety standards across the business.
The Role:
- Managing day-to-day health & safety across the site
- Ensuring compliance with current H&S legislation
- Developing and maintaining H&S policies and procedures
- Carrying out risk assessments, audits and site inspections
- Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
- Providing H&S guidance, training and support to employees and management
- Promoting a strong health & safety culture throughout the business
The Candidate:
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Manager or H&S Advisor role
- Preferably experience within the automotive, vehicle manufacturing or engineering sector
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice
- Experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and influence others
