About The Role
Paired is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Growth squad. In this pivotal role, you will own the end-to-end design process for features that accelerate subscription growth and improve our organic and paid acquisition. Your work will empower users to invite their friends, unlock deeper value with Paired Premium, and seamlessly convert into subscribers. Reporting to the Lead Product Designer and collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and fellow designers, you will define and execute design strategies that balance user delight with business impact.
What Your Role Encompasses
- Lead the end-to-end design process for innovative acquisition and monetisation strategies from concept to launch.
- Partner with Product Managers and Researchers to uncover the biggest opportunities for new and existing users via research and analytics.
- Design intuitive referral flows and viral features that encourage users to invite friends, boosting organic growth.
- Optimize and innovate on the web-to-app funnel, ensuring seamless onboarding and subscription experiences across platforms.
- Better connect users with the value of Paired Premium by experimenting with the Free / Premium split, plans, pricing, and discounts.
- Balance creative, user-centered design with growth metrics, finding high-impact solutions that move key KPIs.
- Develop rapid prototypes and conduct iterative design cycles to refine new concepts.
- Deliver pixel-perfect, high-fidelity UI for mobile and web, aligned with Paired’s visual language and accessibility standards.
- Communicate design rationale and efficiently steer explorations of multiple solutions to problems.
- Support Paired’s Design System by promoting and reviewing major changes, and introducing new solutions.
- Drive outcomes for our users and Paired through design, focusing on impact rather than just visual output.
- Mentor other designers by giving constructive feedback to influence and strengthen peers' decision-making skills and quality of work.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in product design for mobile applications and web with a focus on subscription-based products.
- Professional background in supporting the growth and scaling phase of at least one Tech company, ideally within industries such as femtech, self-improvement, education, health & fitness, and related fields.
- Strong portfolio showcasing case studies that demonstrate great product thinking, user experience, interaction, and visual design skills, a clear process and results.
- Proven ability to work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, as well as narrowly defined, tactical features.
- Deep knowledge of best practices for information architecture, navigation, UX, and UI and responsive design.
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional product teams, with the ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.
- Action-oriented in ambiguity: Thrive in undefined spaces, using exploration, prototyping, and iteration to bring clarity and forward progress.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (we use Figma predominantly) with a healthy interest in learning new tools.
- Good understanding of Design Systems and A11Y, to ensure consistency, scalability, and inclusivity.
- Ability to use data and user research to understand user needs, and gather insights to justify and support design decisions.
- Must share a portfolio.
