Ready to join a small, high-calibre team and help build the product engine that turns AI ambition into adoption? At PAIR, you’ll be our first dedicated product manager: shaping what we build, why we build it, and how we learn. You’ll work across two product pods, partnering closely with Engineering and Design to turn customer needs into shipped outcomes - while keeping a clear line of sight to activation, retention and revenue. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales, Partnerships and our AI Adoption Specialists to ensure the product we ship can be sold, adopted and expanded inside enterprise and government organisations. This role is for someone hungry, hands‑on, and excited to add breadth to a product which has PMF and is used by tens of thousands of users already. You'll run discovery, write the briefs, align stakeholders, and keep a tight shipping rhythm. If things go well, you’ll help build the product team as we scale.
Core responsibilities
- You’ll report directly to the CEO/co‑founder (who will retain overall product leadership) and work very closely with him and the other co‑founder (CTO).
- You’ll own product management end‑to‑end across discovery, shaping and delivery - with key input on the overall product strategy and prioritisation.
- Run a clear product plan that supports enterprise outcomes now and a product‑led sales (PLS) motion over time.
- Translate customer and commercial signal into a prioritised roadmap: problems, bets, and measurable outcomes.
- Partner with Design to define user journeys, workflows and value propositions across admins, managers and learners.
- Shape work for two product pods: write crisp briefs (problem, constraints, success metrics, kill criteria), and keep delivery focused.
- Establish and maintain a discovery cadence: regular customer conversations, synthesis, and decision‑ready insights.
- Operate a tight prioritisation system: make trade‑offs explicit, manage scope, and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Partner tightly with Engineering (EM & CTO) to improve execution quality: planning, acceptance criteria, risk management, and post‑mortems.
- Work with Data/Engineering to build and maintain product instrumentation and reporting: activation, engagement, retention, expansion signals.
- Improve conversion across the funnel by partnering with Sales/CS: ICP insights, objection handling inputs, product proof points, enablement materials.
- Own the product “operating system”: rituals, documentation, decision logs, roadmap comms, and cross‑functional hygiene.
- Maintain high execution velocity: weekly shipping rhythm, clear hypotheses, tight post‑mortems and learning loops.
- Over time: hire and potentially manage product support (e.g. additional PMs, product ops) as we scale.
What we are looking for
- We’re a driven, ambitious start‑up building an exceptional team. You’ll learn by doing alongside customers and colleagues from week one. We give you high trust and clear outcomes; you bring professionalism, ownership and pace.
Non‑negotiables
- Hands‑on operator: you’ve personally run discovery, shaped bets, and shipped meaningful product work recently; you don’t need layers to deliver.
- Outcomes‑led: you care about adoption, retention and revenue impact - and you can talk in numbers.
- Structured: you run a tight plan, keep systems clean, and turn ambiguity into priorities without heavy hand‑holding.
- Clear communicator: strong writing and crisp thinking; you can explain what you’re doing, why, and what it changed.
- Good judgement: you handle data privacy, enterprise risk, and stakeholder expectations responsibly.
- AI‑native: You actively use AI in your day‑to‑day product workflow to improve speed and quality, and you can point to specific examples where this materially changed your output or results.
Must have experience & skills
- Evidenced results in B2B SaaS / tech product management, with evidence of owning meaningful scope (ideally as a small‑team or first‑hire PM).
- Strong grasp of enterprise product dynamics (multi‑stakeholder buying, admins vs end‑users, procurement/security constraints).
- Proven ability to run and ship: customer discovery and synthesis that drives confident prioritisation, clear product briefs and specifications that teams can execute against, cross‑functional alignment across Engineering, Design, Sales and CS, instrumentation and outcomes reviews (activation, retention, engagement, expansion signals).
- Solid analytical comfort: you can work with product metrics and know how to interpret them to decide what to do next.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams (including technical trade‑offs, sequencing, dependencies and quality).
Nice to have
- Direct experience and success implementing PLG or PLS in B2B environments.
- Exposure to workforce transformation, enablement, L&D, change management, government, or regulated sectors.
- Experience with data‑heavy or AI‑driven products (personalisation, ML workflows, evaluation, feedback loops).
- Strong founder‑enablement skills: you can turn raw thinking into crisp decisions and narratives quickly.
How we work
We work hard, support each other, and share a bias for action - which sometimes includes late finishes when something important is shipping or a customer needs us. We balance this with ownership, trust and the opportunity to build something incredible.
