The opportunity
PAIR is at an important point in its growth!
We now work with more than 400 organisations and 40,000 users, including major enterprise customers such as PwC, the MTC and Mimecast. We have reached 7-figure ARR, expanded into the US and grown rapidly without yet building the marketing function the business will need for its next stage.
That creates a rare opportunity for the right person.
You will not inherit a finished marketing machine. You will build it.
Your job is to create the marketing system that helps PAIR define and own the AI adoption category, generates a meaningful share of company pipeline and can support a business that is around 50 people today but could become 200 next year.
Enterprises are spending heavily on tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Claude, but most still struggle to turn those investments into changed behaviour, better work and measurable business outcomes. PAIR is the adoption layer that closes that gap.
You will make that position impossible to miss and turn it into commercial momentum.
This is a hands‑on leadership role. You will set the strategy, but you will also write, edit, build, test and ship. In the same week, you might shape a new category narrative with the founders, review pipeline performance in HubSpot, launch an account campaign, sharpen a press pitch and support our Global Events Lead on how an executive event will create opportunities.
You will have room to experiment, but you will be expected to know what worked, what did not and what we should do next.
I can’t wait to read your application.

Commercial Director
What you will build
The most important outcomes are telling our story to the world and building a marketing system that can scale.
That means one clear strategy connecting our narrative, target accounts, campaigns, events, content, PR, website, lifecycle marketing and customer evidence to qualified pipeline and revenue.
What you will own
- Build a marketing strategy and function that can scale, starting hands‑on and adding the right people and systems as the priorities become clear.
- Build a repeatable pipeline engine across campaigns, lifecycle marketing, website, partnerships, events and paid activity, with HubSpot providing a reliable view of qualified pipeline and revenue.
- Define and own the AI adoption category, using PR, research and thought leadership to elevate our CEO and internal experts as leading voices on enterprise AI adoption.
- Manage our Global Events Lead and support in ensuring every owned and attended event has maximum impact.
- Turn customer results into visible proof through case studies, announcements, impact data, research and customer voices.
About you
You are a marketer and a builder.
- You have led marketing in a high‑growth B2B technology company and can show what you personally built, how it affected pipeline and what you learnt when an experiment did not work.
- You can move between strategy and execution without treating either as beneath you. You are comfortable shaping an annual plan, but you can also improve a landing page, rewrite weak copy, interrogate funnel data or build the first version of a campaign yourself.
- You understand enterprise buying. You know that complex deals are created through trust, relevance, evidence and repeated engagement.
- You are commercially confident. You can discuss pipeline, conversion, sales cycles, attribution and budget with senior leaders and make choices when the data is incomplete.
- You have a strong editorial eye. You know the difference between polished language and clear thinking, and you are comfortable rejecting work that is generic, inaccurate or below the standard expected by enterprise customers.
- You are AI‑native in practice. You can point to ways AI has materially improved your work. Just as importantly, you have the judgement to recognise weak output and do not confuse greater volume with better marketing.
You have built or substantially improved several of the following
- Enterprise demand generation and account‑based marketing
- Category positioning, product marketing and company narrative
- Content, PR and executive thought leadership
- Customer advocacy and case‑study programmes
- Executive events and partner marketing
- Teams and systems through a period of rapid company growth
This role will not suit someone who needs a large team, a mature dataset or a finished brief before they can make progress. It will suit someone whose best work has come from building the answer.
How we work
We are building a high‑performance company around an ambitious mission.
- Own it end to end. If you see a problem, you help resolve it. Ownership means making the decision, coordinating the right people and closing the loop, not simply completing your part.
- Elite teams do the basics well. Deadlines, proofing, preparation, data quality and follow‑through matter. Ambitious strategy cannot compensate for unreliable execution.
- Practise what we preach. AI is embedded in how we work. Everyone at PAIR is expected to improve what they can achieve with it and to understand our product well enough to represent it accurately.
- Velocity over speed. We move quickly, but we prioritise sustained momentum over frantic activity. We build systems, learn from evidence and focus on the work that matters most.
You will have clear outcomes, access to leadership and the freedom to build. In return, we expect independent thinking, high standards and a willingness to contribute beyond the narrow boundaries of your role when the company needs it.
You will join a company with real customers, proven PMF and momentum, and significant room to grow. I want this to be the best decision you have made in your career.
You will work on one of the defining questions facing organisations today: how to turn investment in AI into better performance and measurable business outcomes.
You will have direct influence over PAIR’s category, growth strategy and leadership team. The systems and team you build will shape how the company grows internationally.
Every role at PAIR includes stock options, giving the people building the company the opportunity to share in the value they help create.
