The Logistics Controller supports the painting process by managing inventory, ordering, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Daily inventory/stock checks of all paints & solvents (incl. 2nd tier supplier).
- Oversee stock rotation.
- Order all company materials used on site against forecasts using SAP & DBI.
- Liaise daily with company logistics & manufacturing sites to ensure on-time deliveries within established slots.
- Guarantee 100% stocked site to eliminate PPM line stops.
- Establish and coordinate emergency response plans for potential supply shortfalls.
- Daily/weekly liaison with Paint Shop & Manufacturing representatives to monitor planning, production & delivery forecasts.
- Prepare, analyse & present all paint usage reports & graphs, including VOC reports.
- Maintain all paint material receiving records.
- Manage, support & control multi-site inventory reduction/optimisation.
- Responsible for batch submission logs & reports.
- Control shipping of all paint & panel samples to Germany.
- Maintain compliance with all environmental requirements (waste discharge schedules, mass, waste segregation).
- Balance, reportable material loss/spills.
- Manage/analyse consumable material usage & cost.
- FLT trained and licensed.
- Manage, train and mentor Logistics Support role.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Sound knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety regulations.
- Strong focus on process and occupational safety.
- Experience troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- At least 3 years industrial experience in a production facility.
Hours & Salary:
- 39.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday).
- Monday-Thursday: 07:30 am β 16:00 pm.
- Friday: 07:30 am β 13:00 pm.
- Day shift only; additional hours as required, paid overtime.
- Starting salary Β£34,000βΒ£38,000, increases after 6-month probation.
