We have a vacancy available for a Logistics Controller to support the process application of paint onto vehicles. The role specifically involves:
- Daily inventory/stock check of all paints & solvents (inc 2nd tier supplier).
- Oversee stock rotation.
- Ordering of all company materials used on site against forecasts (SAP & DBI).
- Liaise daily with Logistics & manufacturing sites to ensure on time deliveries (within established on site delivery slots).
- Ensure 100% of the time the site is furnished with products to ensure zero line stops attributable to PPM.
- Establish & co-ordinate emergency response plans in relation to any potential material supply shortfall.
- Daily/weekly liaison with Paint Shop & Manufacturing representatives to monitor planning, production & delivery forecasts.
- Prepare, analyse & present all paint usage reports & graphs including V.O.C. reports.
- Maintain all paint material receiving records.
- Manage, support & control multi-site inventory reduction/optimisation.
- Responsible for batch submission logs & reports.
- Control shipping of all paint & panel samples to Germany.
- Maintain compliance to all environmental requirements in respect to both processes & personnel (waste discharge schedules to trade effluent, mass).
- Balance, reportable material loss/spills, waste segregation.
- Manage/analyse consumable material usage & cost within areas of responsibility.
- FLT trained and licenced.
- Manage, train and mentor Logistics Support role.
Additionally, the following skills and experience would be advantageous:
- A sound knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety regulations.
- A strong focus on process and occupational safety.
- Experience of trouble shooting and problem-solving techniques.
- At least 3 years of industrial experience in a production facility.
This position will be based on day shift only. Additional hours will be required as necessary. Hours are 39.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Monday to Thursday 07.30am to 16.00pm
Friday 07.30am to 13.00pm
Starting salary is £34,000 - £38,000 depending on experience and annual salary will increase after a successful 6-month probation period. This role is on site based with no option to work from home. Additional approved hours will be paid overtime.
