About the Role

As a Production Engineer ‑ Milling, you will take the lead in planning, coordinating and improving CNC milling operations. You’ll focus on improving quality, reducing cycle times and driving productivity through smarter tooling strategies, better programming and operator support. This role offers ownership, variety and visibility across the production floor and offers a clear voice in continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and improve all milling operations in line with production goals
  • Develop and optimise CNC milling programmes for quality and efficiency
  • Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters to maximise productivity
  • Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects
  • Provide training and mentoring to CNC machinists and operators
  • Troubleshoot milling-related issues and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and ISO/IATF standards

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in production engineering, specifically within HAAS (or similar) CNC milling environments
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and CAD/CAM (e.g. EdgeCAM, Fusion 360)
  • Ability to analyse tooling and cycle time data to improve throughput
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
  • Recognised qualification, apprenticeship or timeserved
