WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Development and maintenance of systems, using low‑platform programming languages.
  • Working as an engineer directing the team in the best software construction practices on the market.
  • Apply good logical reasoning skills, demonstrate ease of learning, and exhibit proactivity.
  • Oversee monitoring, technical supervision, implementations, and provide customer support.
  • Engage in systems engineering, including the creation of microservices, automated tests, middleware applications, and orchestrators.
  • Focus on the performance, observability and resilience of applications.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5 years of software development experience in Java (ideally with microservices).
  • Software development using Spring Boot.
  • Knowledge of UK Payments and standards (ISO2022, SWIFT, MX).
  • Containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge in Cloud (AWS).
  • Integration with RESTful services and GraphQL.
  • Communication via messaging (Rabbit MQ, Kafka, IBM MQ).
  • Knowledge of relational databases or NoSQL.
  • Performance testing with tools like Gatling or JMeter.
  • Experience in systems development using agile methodologies.
  • Collaborative tools (Jira and Confluence).
  • Have certifications (JAVA, Cloud, Scrum).
  • DevSecOps (continuous integration with Gradle, Github Actions, Sonar).

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree completed in Systems or Computing Engineering, Maths, Physics, Economics, Business Administration, or similar.
