As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving PageSuite’s growth by identifying, engaging, and converting new clients across our core target markets. You’ll be responsible for generating new business revenue, taking a consultative approach to sales, and establishing lasting relationships that contribute to long-term commercial success. As part of this role you will be required to attend on-site meetings, events and attend some client meetings outside of your usual working hours. You will also be required to attend the office two days per week (for exceptional candidates this will be reviewed). We're looking for somebody with publisher experience, where you've either worked for a publisher, or at a technology company that provides services for publishers.
Responsibilities:
- New Business & Lead Generation: Proactively source and close new business opportunities across our target sectors (e.g., publishing, media, B2B content providers). Research and prospect potential leads using tools like LinkedIn, CRM data, and industry news. Help develop outbound strategies including cold outreach, email campaigns, and attending events to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Sales & Revenue Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly new business revenue goals. Accurately forecast sales opportunities and contribute to regular pipeline reviews.
- Client Pitches & Presentations: Take the lead in sales pitches, delivering compelling demonstrations of PageSuite’s solutions tailored to client needs. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g, marketing, product) to develop proposals and presentation materials. Conduct thorough research ahead of meetings to understand client challenges, market context, and potential PageSuite solutions. Prepare agendas, talking points, and follow-up strategies to maximize meeting impact.
- Industry Knowledge & Competitor Landscape: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving publisher needs. Provide insights back to the team to inform product development and strategic direction.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all prospecting, outreach, and deal progress using Salesforce. Ensure all stages of the sales funnel are tracked and updated, making sure Opportunities are accurate at all times.
