You will be based from the head office in Normanton.

Job Description

You will be reporting into the Financial Controller who has progressed within the business over the last 8 years.

You will be responsible for leading the credit control function - ensuring effective cash collection, active management of credit risk and strong control over the sales ledger.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to

  • Leading, managing and developing a team of 3
  • Setting your team clear targets and driving a culture of accountability and ownership.
  • Delivering your own cash collection targets
  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly cash collection
  • Own the cash collection scorecard, and ensure it is accurate, reconcilied and understood
  • Provide debtor reporting to the Financial Controller and Senior Leadership Team
  • Analyse trends in debtor days, aged debt and cash performance
  • Identify risks and opportunities and propose actions
  • Own and maintain the credit policy
  • Manage relationships with credit insurers and agencies
  • Oversee credit limit setting, reviews and approvals
  • Supporting team members with dispute resolution and complex accounts
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the function to improve efficiency and accuracy
