Job Description
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks safely, to standard, and on time.
- Identify and implement engineering improvements that enhance reliability, performance, and efficiency.
- Support production during shift with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Communicate clearly with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure effective coordination and decision-making.
- Execute planned and preventive maintenance activities in line with the maintenance plan to maximise asset reliability and longevity.
- Support proactive improvement activities, identifying recurring issues and contributing to root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and Manufacturing teams to prioritise maintenance activities that support production continuity.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, recording all work, parts usage, and actions within the CMMS/MMS.
- Provide effective team support and communication, ensuring clear handovers, issue visibility, and cross-shift alignment.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days & Nights - 6 AM to 6 PM.
The Successful Applicant
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or above), with proven multi-skilled capability.
- Strong electrical fault-finding experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience working in a Food & Drink or FMCG manufacturing environment.
- IOSH Working Safely (or equivalent).
- Experience managing key stakeholders and driving positive engineering change.
- HNC / HND or higher qualification - Desirable.
- PLC fault-finding experience.
- Experience in maintenance planning or continuous improvement initiatives.
