Job Description
As the Transport Manager, you will:
- Manage and optimise all transport operations across multiple sites, including route optimisation.
- Ensure full compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
- Build effective reporting through the TMS and other systems to support continuous improvement.
- Lead and support a team of transport and logistics professionals, building capability.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align transport operations with business objectives.
- Negotiate with third-party transport providers to achieve favourable terms.
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to clients and partners.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Transport Manager should have:
- Proven expertise in transport management within the industrial or manufacturing industry, with responsibility for transport operations, fleet/compliance (including maintenance), and financial performance.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience in developing and managing transport operations on a multi-site basis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and improve operational efficiency using various systems (including TMS).
- Strong negotiation skills with external transport providers.
- Must be CPC qualified.
