Job Description

  • Support security operations, incident investigations and response activities.
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to analyse threats and security alerts.
  • Conduct threat intelligence research and identify emerging cyber risks, adversary tactics and indicators of compromise.
  • Utilise Microsoft Defender XDR and associated Microsoft Defender products to support investigations and remediation.
  • Lead cyber security awareness campaigns and phishing simulations using Know Be4.
  • Produce regular compliance reporting and user engagement metrics.
  • Develop awareness content across email, intranet, social platforms, posters and face‑to‑face sessions.
  • Improve operational security processes including access management, vulnerability management and incident management.
  • Create security reports, dashboards and metrics for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Promote a positive security culture through collaboration, communication and education.
  • The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Security Analyst should have

  • Proven experience managing security awareness programmes and phishing simulation campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of user engagement initiatives, targeted training and compliance reporting.
  • Solid understanding of recognised security frameworks and standards, particularly Cyber Essentials.
  • Knowledge of cyber threat intelligence concepts, including IOCs, TTPs and threat analysis.
  • Experience working with SOC teams, managed security service providers or security operations functions.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR.
  • Knowledge of Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity and Defender for Cloud Apps.
  • Strong analytical and incident investigation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting capabilities.
  • BPSS clearance eligibility or ability to undergo BPSS screening.
