The role of Senior Legal Counsel will:
- Have a primary focus on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners across multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with company leadership, business leads, and the People Team to understand business goals, translate complex legal risks into practical and accessible guidance, and align legal processes with company strategy and growth.
- Continually improve legal operations and internal frameworks to support new products, services, and markets while mitigating legal and compliance risks.
- Partner with external counsel to manage specialized, cross‑border, or complex legal issues.
- Have the opportunity to develop expertise in new areas of law, with appropriate training and mentorship, as the company grows and evolves.
A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:
- A qualified Solicitor in the UK or other relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong experience in Commercial Law, drafting and negotiation a broad mix of commercial contracts with a high degree of independence.
- Experience working within the Media and/or Technology industry would be highly beneficial.
- Strong stakeholder management experience and communication skills are essential.
- A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
