Job Description

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Consolidate, review, and provide technical advice on financial results and forecasts, monitoring risks and opportunities to minimize impact.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and provide financial guidance.
  • Oversee periodic accounts, analysis, and business plans to support effective decision-making.
  • Understand and influence cost and income drivers to meet business plans.
  • Coach and challenge senior budget holders on financial performance and planning.
  • Suggest cost-saving initiatives and efficiencies.
  • Manage KPIs and highlight significant financial trends to aid decision-making.
  • Lead meetings on financial performance, offering professional advice.
  • Collaborate on investment decisions and explore new business opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Membership or progress towards membership of CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW or equivalent experience.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience in complex financial environments, managing risks, controls, and planning.
  • Proven track record in budget management and financial interpretation.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity with strong evaluation skills.
  • Excellent financial and accounting knowledge in a complex environment.
  • Degree in accounting, finance, business management, or equivalent experience.
