Job Description
- Assist in the delivery and develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to align with business objectives.
- Strong focus on review and negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
- Analyse supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives.
- Manage procurement projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Strategic Buyer should have:
- Experience in procurement within Manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills with experience of negotiating around Terms and Conditions
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies and supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with procurement tools and systems ideally ERP
- A detail-oriented approach and ability to analyse data effectively.
