About Our Client

Job Description

  • Oversee the financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage and develop a small Finance Team (5 reports), setting their objectives, and overseeing all day-to-day activities.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
  • Responsible for preparing the month-end processes ensuring costs and income suitably accrued, prepaid, or deferred as appropriate.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Standard costs and sales margin analysis.
  • Managing and continually improving departmental reporting and analysis, working with managers to understand the results and drive improvement.
  • Partner with the key stakeholders of the businesses, playing a key role in improving financial performance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Previous people management experience.
  • Experience of working in an industrial/Manufacturing/FMCG environment is ideal.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Strong systems knowledge, SAGE Preferably.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business.
  • Practice trained, 2nd step within industry - well sought after.
