Job Description
- Support Finance Business Partners by producing timely and accurate transactional-level analysis and reporting across multiple directorates.
- Assist with the preparation of financial results, including management accounts, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and statutory accounts.
- Provide insightful variance analysis to support decision-making and drive performance improvements.
- Lead on the accounting for surpluses and deficits on variable service charges, including reviews, analysis, commentary, and reconciliations.
- Support stakeholders with service charge recoverability, sinking funds, and leaseholder accounts.
- Produce journals and deliver comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations.
- Contribute to finance projects, process reviews, and system enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
The Successful Applicant
- Experience of service charge accounting within a social housing environment (desirable).
- Knowledge of housing legislation and Housing Association systems (advantageous).
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (advanced Excel essential).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing deadlines effectively.
