Job Description
The Financial Controller will have a wide range of duties including:
- Manage and oversee all financial accounting operations, including the day to day finance, planning and reporting.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and forecasts to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Lead the budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Develop scalable systems, controls and processes within the finance team to support future growth.
- Lead the implementation of a new financial accounting system.
- Manage banking and investor relationships.
- Drive acquisitions - from evaluating opportunities, building models, and supporting negotiations, to leading diligence and integration.
- Provide commercial insight and challenge to support decision-making across the business.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Controller should have:
- A strong technical accounting background, ideally with a training in practice and an ACA qualification (or an equivalent qualification).
- Proven expertise in financial management and a strong knowledge of accounting principles, processes and practices.
- Experience with M&A would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
