Job Description
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed analysis to stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
- Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including reconciliations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise cost control and operational efficiencies.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision‑making within the retail sector.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies in all financial activities.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a management accountant role within a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Effective communication skills to present financial data to non‑financial stakeholders.
