About Our Client
Join this top 20 accountancy firm in their Risk and Compliance team in London.
The primary focus is on ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements (principally Audit Regulations, Ethical compliance, ICAEW Practice Assurance and Designated Professional Body (investment business) regulations) and oversight of the firm's enterprise risk management (ERM) framework. The team also provides advisory services to fee earning and support teams, publishes guidance documentation, prepares and delivers internal briefings, develops firm policy, conducts quality and compliance monitoring, and creates and maintains content on the firm's intranet. The team works closely alongside the firm's separate Legal, Technical, and Financial Crime Compliance teams.
This is an ideal opportunity for a professionally qualified accountant with auditor general practice experience who is looking to develop their career in a key and varied support role outside of direct client work.
The Successful Applicant
- Likely to be a qualified accountant or equivalent
- Background within audit or the ethics and/or compliance function of a professional services environment
- Knowledge of the ICAEW's Code of Ethics and the FRC Ethical Standard
- Ability to analyse and research risk, ethics, and compliance queries, providing advice and solutions that are timely and robust
- Knowledge of the following is desirable: Audit Regulations, UK GAAP
