Job Description

  • Log and file all customer questionnaires from reception to completion, including customer portal requests.
  • Maintain clear communication with the customer, the sales manager and other business partners during the completion process of questionnaires and queries to manage priorities.
  • Complete customer questionnaires within the agreed lead time and coordinate with other departments to obtain information needed for customers.
  • Respond to customer short queries related to regulatory, food safety, quality and CSR/ESG matters.
  • Support Continuous Improvement program initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Documentation Specialist should have:

  • Previous experience as a documentation specialist.
  • Great understanding of Quality requirements and standards in the food industry (ISO, HACCP, BRC, GFSi, etc.).
  • Experience within a Quality, Technical or R&D role in the Food Industry would be desirable.
  • IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially proficient in Excel.
  • Experience working with retail online specification systems desirable (QADEX, Hamilton Grant etc.).
  • Understanding of food ingredients and their functionalities.
  • Food labelling / Food legislation training or understanding is essential.
  • Able to handle changes in priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight timelines.
  • Basic knowledge of Chemistry would be useful along with numerical confidence.
