Job Description

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery during night shifts.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
  • Ensure all engineering operations comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to minimise downtime and improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Carry out inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Assist in the installation and testing of new machinery or upgrades.
  • Provide support during emergency breakdowns to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Experience working within the engineering and manufacturing sector, ideally in a FMCG Manufacturing site.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a range of equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively during night shifts and in a team environment.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving technical problems.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Comfortable working 12 hour night shifts, rotating 3 days and 4 days on/off.
  • Commutable to East London and have full permanent right to work in the UK.
