Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery during night shifts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Ensure all engineering operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to minimise downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Carry out inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
- Assist in the installation and testing of new machinery or upgrades.
- Provide support during emergency breakdowns to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
The Successful Applicant
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Experience working within the engineering and manufacturing sector, ideally in a FMCG Manufacturing site.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a range of equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts and in a team environment.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving technical problems.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
- Comfortable working 12 hour night shifts, rotating 3 days and 4 days on/off.
- Commutable to East London and have full permanent right to work in the UK.
