About Our Client:
The client is a leading boutique investment manager and private equity firm, specialising in real assets within the suitable and alternative investment space. They are looking to hire a Marketing Manager who can lead on the marketing strategy and delivery across their Real Assets division. The role will be on an initial contract basis with the view of going permanent.
Job Description:
Key responsibilities of the Marketing Manager:
- Strategy and functional: Work as part of the marketing team, develop and execute initiatives as part of the overarching group marketing strategy and aligned with sales objectives.
- Project and campaign management; schedule of deliverables, product calendars, budgets, accountability, efficiency, and stakeholder management.
- Work with divisional heads to ensure that marketing initiatives have a clear plan in place designed to raise the profile of each investment strategy (and promote its associated funds) externally.
- Prioritise both overall financial and strategic goals of the business, as well as driving improvements in Marketing when making marketing decisions and ensure that all marketing activity supports these objectives.
- Bring fresh thinking and new ideas to drive growth in the business.
- Ensure marketing activity is measured, tracked and reported within the group.
- Develop, support and guide members of the marketing team.
Marketing communications:
- Design and direct effective communication campaigns that incorporate the use of email, print, social media, website, content, events, and external publications as appropriate.
- Oversee social media activity and ensure alignment with the Group's strategy.
- Actively monitor market and industry changes, including competitor activity, to ensure the business is forward-thinking in its communication strategy.
- Ensure all marketing communications are consistent in message, tone of voice and design and are of the highest standards.
PR:
- Regularly engage with our PR agencies supporting the drive for increasing coverage, signing-off media-appropriate press releases, new content and opinion editorial.
Marketing collateral:
- Direct the creation of impactful presentations for new business pitches and client meetings, ensuring a joined-up approach in terms of data analytics, sales, client services, marketing, and content.
- Ensure all communications are clear, well-presented, and appropriate for the relevant audiences.
- Act as a guardian for the use of the group brand guidelines to ensure all presentations and collateral are 'on brand' and of a high quality.
The Successful Applicant:
The successful candidate:
- 7+ years' experience in a marketing function within asset management, with a specialism in real assets / alternative investments and private markets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - gravitas and credibility when interfacing with senior colleagues.
- Experience in, and knowledge of, the investment management industry as well as clients in the industry with a focus on the institutional market.
- Good experience of alternative investments and private market fund structures.
- Strong writing skills as well as confidence and experience of critiquing, editing, and approving content and collateral.
- Strong organisational and time management skills and results orientation.
- Experience as a generalist marketer across the marketing suite.
- Have worked with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce campaigns.
- Have worked extensively in PowerPoint.
- Ideally have experience of InDesign.
- Ideally have experience of WordPress CMS and GA4.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead projects and work effectively in a deadline and team-oriented environment.
