Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct client and matter onboarding, including CDD, risk assessments, and EDD for higher-risk matters.
- Perform screening checks (conflicts, sanctions, PEPs, adverse media) and support ongoing monitoring.
- Liaise with legal teams to gather onboarding information and manage shared inbox requests.
- Maintain relevant compliance registers and respond to AML/onboarding queries, escalating when needed.
- Build effective working relationships with internal teams and external parties.
- Contribute to process improvements, compliance awareness activities, and general departmental support.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate should have:
- Experience in risk, compliance, AML or onboarding, with strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised, reliable and able to manage multiple onboarding matters simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Collaborative, approachable and confident engaging with internal stakeholders.
- Strong IT literacy and willingness to learn new systems, plus motivation to develop further compliance expertise.
