Job Description

  • Oversee and manage IT support functions within the organisation.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all technology systems and infrastructure.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and best practices for the organisation.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align IT services with business needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Support Manager should have:

  • Proven experience leading small technical support or helpdesk teams (1-5 staff) in a hands-on capacity.
  • Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint), iOS/iPhone and JAMF device management.
  • TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
  • Proven ability to manage helpdesk tools and CMDB systems, and produce reports/metrics dashboards.
  • Excellent prioritisation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with service desk best practices.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Retail tools or point-of-sale systems experience is a strong advantage.
  • Formal IT qualifications (A levels, degree, or certifications such as Microsoft/CompTIA/ITIL).
  • Familiarity with the FMCG and/or Retail (luxury goods) sector industry is advantageous.
