Job Description
- Oversee and manage IT support functions within the organisation.
- Ensure the smooth operation of all technology systems and infrastructure.
- Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement IT policies and best practices for the organisation.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments to align IT services with business needs.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards.
The Successful Applicant
A successful IT Support Manager should have:
- Proven experience leading small technical support or helpdesk teams (1-5 staff) in a hands-on capacity.
- Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint), iOS/iPhone and JAMF device management.
- TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Proven ability to manage helpdesk tools and CMDB systems, and produce reports/metrics dashboards.
- Excellent prioritisation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with service desk best practices.
- Excellent inter-personal skills.
- Retail tools or point-of-sale systems experience is a strong advantage.
- Formal IT qualifications (A levels, degree, or certifications such as Microsoft/CompTIA/ITIL).
- Familiarity with the FMCG and/or Retail (luxury goods) sector industry is advantageous.
