Global Retail/Hospitality business based in Chiswick, West London.

As the EMEA Tax Analyst based from Chiswick, West London you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting on all tax matters, working across both the EMEA and US tax and broader finance teams, with responsibility for VAT and other indirect taxes across multiple entities within Europe.
  • Completion of all VAT reporting across multiple EMEA entities.
  • Managing the compilation, review and submission of all other indirect taxes as required.
  • Driving improvements in the collation and oversight of indirect tax data ensuring these are in line with internal and SOX control framework.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for all product and menu items indirect taxes classification.
  • Assisting with tax audits and liaising with tax authorities and external advisors.
  • Conducting tax research and providing advisory support on all indirect tax matters.
  • Contributing to transfer pricing analysis and documentation to align with regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and communicating opportunities for process improvement and compliance.
  • Participating in tax governance initiatives to enhance risk management and compliance frameworks such as SAO, CCO and Tax Strategy.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Degree educated and qualified or finalist in tax or accountancy.
  • A strong understanding of indirect taxes, with exposure to international jurisdictions an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data science techniques applied to tax data for business insight and risk management.
  • Comfortable managing a diverse and dynamic workload across multiple jurisdictions and tax disciplines.
  • Proven ability to manage and analyse financial data and provide insights.
  • Familiar with ERP and reporting systems and regulatory tax requirements.
  • Clear in explaining complex VAT topics across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Collaborate with tax colleagues globally, contributing to global tax strategies and initiatives.
