Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a Director, Head of Debt Issuer Services with a global financial services organisation in London or Leeds. Overview: This senior leadership role reports to the Managing Director of Corporate Markets Europe and is based on a hybrid working model from either a central London or Leeds city centre office. Regular in-office collaboration is expected. You will oversee a team responsible for executing bondholder identification and supporting complex debt transactions. The role involves strategic leadership, operational oversight, and relationship management across a diverse client base, including investment banks, law firms, and restructuring advisors.
Key Deliverables:
- Strategic Focus: Develop and implement the Debt Intelligence strategy with a focus on client excellence. Oversee project delivery from due diligence to completion. Drive initiatives that enhance standardisation, efficiency, and customer experience. Strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for growth. Engage with industry bodies and partners to inform future developments.
- Operational Management: Lead services related to bondholder identification, including pre-transaction and regulatory exercises. Manage financial performance, team workflow, and departmental outcomes. Maintain deep expertise in debt capital markets and related operations. Liaise with clearing systems, custodians, and institutional investors. Deliver high-quality research and analysis under tight deadlines. Promote thought leadership through publications and events.
- People Leadership: Provide mentorship and direction to build a high-performing team. Foster a culture of engagement, learning, and quality.
- Governance & Risk: Stay ahead of regulatory developments affecting the team and wider business. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, maintaining business integrity.
