My clients operate in the international art and tech sphere. A leader in innovation, they are always at the head of the curve of the changing media and technology landscape. Historically, they have been involved in a combination of building and backing companies, having been involved in more than 60 start-ups and ventures that have become household names, including lastminute.com, Ocado, Shazam.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify, target and secure long term tenants to consolidate the technology film cluster at the Studio.
  • Develop a clear value proposition and supporting material to attract the desired tenants to the Studio.
  • Manage property-specific advisors to the Studio that have been engaged to aid the Studio with securing tenants.
  • Lead on negotiations of commercial terms with prospective tenants and manage the end-to-end leasing process, through to contracted agreements (including handling enquiries, conducting viewings etc.).
  • Proactively source potential tenants through industry networking, event attendance and targeted outreach and perform market research to determine the pricing and offering that will attract the desired tenants.
  • Market and promote the Studio's long term tenant proposition through appropriate channels.
  • Collaborate with the Studio team to ensure tenants are well-integrated into the studio community.
  • Report regularly to senior management on commercial performance, including occupancy rates, pipeline and market trends.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree from a reputable institution.
  • A relevant post-graduate degree (e.g. MBA) would be beneficial.
  • 5 -10 years relevant experience - ideally with selling commercial real estate.
  • At least 3 years in a proven business development role.
  • Business development experience in technology, media or commercial property would all be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial and numerical ability with demonstrable ability to use excel competently.
  • Proficient English language ability and well-developed business writing skills.
  • Proven competence in company and market research.
  • A demonstrated ability of hands-on value creation.
