Job Description:
- Investigating and taking enforcement action in respect of cases of serious or significant breaches of relevant requirements by statutory auditors and statutory audit firms in relation to matters that are in the public interest by:
- Acting as an advisor to investigation case teams on the practical interpretations of accounting and auditing standards.
- Assisting in focusing investigations on breaches of relevant requirements which individually or collectively are serious or significant.
- Assisting case teams in instructing external audit experts and assessing their views.
The Successful Applicant:
- Qualified Accountant.
- Has worked at director level (acting as a Responsible Individual) or above in the audit profession.
- Substantial audit experience, including in the audits of listed and other public interest entities.
- Strong technical auditing and accounting skills.
